The Latest Armageddon is Scheduled for Today…Maybe

(Newswire.net — October 7, 2015) — Last time it was the Mayan calendar that has an expiration date. Before that, it was millennial bug issue. No matter how often it happens, some prophet interprets every planet constellation as a bad omen that the end of humankind is near. After all, it is all written in the bible.

Once again, humanity is advised to brace for the horror that comes precisely October 7th 2015, however this time, the prophets slide in one little “Maybe” into the equation. According to Chris McCann, a neo-prophet from the eBible Fellowship, numbers don’t lie, and precisely today, the world ends.

“There’s a strong likelihood that this will happen. Which means there’s an unlikely possibility that it will not,” McCann says, according to the Guardian.

That qualified statement comes after his Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based group spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on billboards and other mass media alerting the world that May 21, 2011 was Judgment Day. Since it didn’t happened, McCann followers are now not so sure, but it should be according the Bible.

After one half of the planet is the counting hours until October 8th, McCann and the remaining eBible Fellowship members are still sure that the day was significant, but in a spiritual way. They believe “God closed the door to heaven” on this day, not giving a chance that the change may be positive and optimistic.

The eBible Fellowship philosophy is leaning on the not so old prediction made by Christian broadcaster Harold Camping in 2011. The prediction is that God will close heavens doors in May 2011. According to McCann’s group, God will spend the next 1600 days on saving non-church goers. With no one left to save on October 7, it was logical to presume that those left on Earth would curl down and vanish in flames. The followers, however, didn’t take into account that the time is relative.

Will the end-of-the-world prophecies ever end?

As long as there is a belief in a ‘final solution’ for our civilization, that the predictions of Armageddon will occur following some spectacular event. The “blood moon” lunar eclipse, also supported the Bible, and we somehow survived that as well.

There is one prophecy, however, that human kind wouldn’t survive. According to Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence, the world would come to an end on January 20, 2017 – “if Donald Trump is elected president.”
