(Newswire.net — October 9, 2015) Cromwell, CT — Being an integral part of the community is important to local medical practice, Connecticut Urgent Care Centers. In addition to providing outstanding Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine services to the public and local businesses, they have also been active in events aimed at growing and improving the communities of both Middlesex County and Cromwell.

Over the last year, the staff of Connecticut Urgent Care Centers has worked to build relationships with residents, businesses, and town leadership, through a number of activities, including participation in the 67th Annual Berlin Fair in conjunction with The Berlin Lions Club, the Cromwell Memorial Day Car and Bike Show, the 10th Annual High School Career Fair Expo at Wesleyan University, The 2015 Middletown Motorcycle Mania, and the recent Middlesex Chamber of Commerce Business to Business Expo 2015, as well as working with local school art departments to turn their Connecticut Urgent Care Centers’ Cromwell waiting room into a mini-gallery for student artists, displaying artwork on a rotating basis from a wide range of Cromwell’s Public School grade levels throughout the year.

To further grow these relationships, Connecticut Urgent Care Centers invites residents to help them celebrate their one-year anniversary Thursday, October 15th – Saturday, October 17th.

Throughout these 3 days, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the activities that are offered, including Flu Shots that are now available for no cost (with most insurance), as well as the free Child ID program that will be hosted on site at the Connecticut Urgent Care Centers office located at 136 Berlin Road, Cromwell, CT 06416, on Saturday, October 17th   from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

During the Child ID program, local Cromwell police officers will be at the Connecticut Urgent Care Center in Cromwell, and will be helping parents to collect and store their children’s vital information, including fingerprints.

*Child ID kits will be provided to parents at no cost, to assist in their family’s collection and safekeeping of their child’s key identification information such as photographs, hair follicles and dental records, which are important to have immediately available in case of a crisis such as a missing child.

*All information collected is turned over to parents to use in the event that a child goes missing; this information is particularly important in Amber Alerts.

Entertainment, prizes, and promotions will be provided at Connecticut Urgent Care Centers’ Cromwell location by the radio personalities of WHCN (www.theriver1059.com) in-person from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Saturday.

Not wanting to forget anyone, Connecticut Urgent Care Centers will also be hosting a private reception for local dignitaries, Chamber members and staff from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM on October 15th.
