(Newswire.net — November 11, 2015) — Last Winter in Northern Baja, children died from exposure to the cold. We don’t want this to happen again. In response we have launched a GoFundMe campaign titled “Blankets for the Children of Mexico. We are asking for your help in spreading the word and if possible, to donate as little as $5.00, to help keep a child warm this Winter.
Through our GoFundMe campaign titled “Blankets for the Children of Mexico“ your donations will directly reach those children who have been living in makeshift shelters made of plastic, crates and cardboard boxes. Their shelters are void of heat and electricity, which makes the clothes and blankets we provide the front line defense in keeping these children warm.
Our blankets and clothes come from a generous wholesaler, who has given us his cost with no markup on the following items:
$6.00 buys 5 pairs of socks;
$9.00 buys an all weather blanket;
$10.00 buys a hooded sweatshirt;
$15.00 buys a pair of insulated shoes.
With the average night temperature of 40 degree Fahrenheit in Northern Baja during the months of November, December and January, these blankets and clothes will be a God send to these children and their parents.
Through our GoFundMe campaign, it is easy to send a gift and show that we care. For as little as $5.00 you can be part of helping a child stay warm this Winter.
If you are interested in helping but dont have the money, please help us in spreading the word by sharing it on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This project is a great way to connect with these children knowing your efforts will have a direct impact in thier lives.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all those who have already donated to our “Blankets for the Children of Mexico”. Caring for these innocent children is an incredibly selfless act and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generiosity.
Life is hard for these children and their parents. When their families have to make impossible choices between food and shelter, they are faced with harsh reality and end up without adequate fuel to warm their shelters. With your support, they will be alive. A contribution of: $100 provides 4 children each with 5 pairs of socks, a blanket, and a hooded sweatshirt.
