There is no harm in putting up content less than 200 words. However, search engines will give more preference to content from other businesses on the same topic that are 500 words or more. Once in a while, publish in depth content of at least 1,500 to dominate the search engine results for those topics. Such in-depth content allows you to use more keywords and communicates an air of authority to the search engine bots.
5. Optimise your content properly
Sometimes, it is difficult to optimise your content properly regardless of your best efforts. This is where content optimisation comes in. Using plugins like SEO Yoast for wordpress, you will be able to see areas where changes are needed. There are many other such tools available depending on your content management system. Use them to good effect and create highly optimised content.
6. Edit properly
The ability to self-edit is what puts professional SEO article writers ahead of everyone else. While word processing programs make the work easier by drawing lines around areas with errors, you should be able to look beyond the lines and make changes that will improve you writing. Avoid excessively long sentences and keep your paragraphs short.
7. Share your content
Writing quality content and expecting the search engines to do the rest of the work is a wrong approach. You need to put in work into bringing the attention of your target audience to the blog post. Spread links to your content as much as you can. You can do this by sharing on social media (and platforms like Reddit and StumbleUpon) and leaving valuable comments on blogs with a link to your site.
