(Newswire.net — December 11, 2015) Rochester , NY — Inspired Creative Fun, the website for entertaining activities and inspiration to get things moving, recently covered Scott Tucker in an announcement of his position as co-host for the 2016 ‘Snowman Contest’. The contest will be held in Rochester, NY on January 15 and will feature 30 snowmen designed by residents of New York. The contest will be hosted by Scott Tucker and his wife Amelia Tucker.
“These winter time creative contests are good for the community for a number of reasons,” says Inspired Creative Fun contributor Gary Hassle. “Getting people outside in the cold and snow to do physical activities is great as well as getting people to be creative and compete in a healthy way. This contest will bring people together to have fun and build snowmen in a family friend atmosphere that promotes creativity and physical activity year round.”
The contest will be free to attend and participate in with a location suitable for building up to 20 snowmen. Snow plows will bring in additional snow to the event if the weather does not provide enough snow for 30 participants to build their snowmen. Each participant will be required to bring their own snowmen accessories to decorate their creations. The contest will allow snowmen building from dawn until 1pm at which time the entries will be judged.
“I’m pretty good at building snowmen and snow creatures so I wanted to host this event this year,” says Tucker. “I’m going to build my own the day before on site so that I can host with him and my wife and give some inspiration to the participants. The guys who donate their time to plow in extra snow are the true stars of this event though, one year we ran out of snow and the snowmen looked pretty wimpy.”
Tucker and his wife will host the event on their farm property outside of Rochester in a hay field which typically receives two feet of snow between December and January. No registry will be required to enter the event. Hot coffee and refreshments will be provided in the welcome tent on site at the gates of the event.
Inspired Creative Fun will publish photos submitted by Tucker in an upcoming article covering the event and the champion’s snowman. The winner of the contest is given a $50 gift certificate to the Rochester coffee shop of their choice.
