(Newswire.net — January 20, 2016) Tampa, FL — For the last 5 years, National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week (NDAFW) has been celebrated during the last week of January in the United States. Activities and events throughout this week are centered on connecting students with experts to dispel common myths related to drug and alcohol use. 

Groups like The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) and National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) partner with schools, local health care providers – like AvantGarde Urgent Care, and other organizations partner to provide the public with scientific facts about drugs and alcohol. People, most often teens, are encouraged to participate in this yearly campaign, to ask questions and learn more about preventing alcohol and drug abuse.
