(Newswire.net — March 2, 2016) Miami, Florida — Miami-based wearable art retailer Artteca takes their “Live Through Art” motto seriously, marketing fashionable limited edition clothing items for women that are designed by some of today’s hottest artists.  Clothing items from the company include tops, bottoms, accessories made from the finest materials and featuring artwork developed exclusively for each piece.  They will be adding dresses to the collection come early summer.  “By showcasing contemporary artists in our clothing pieces, we are creating wearable art for collectors,” says Claudia Giardinella, Director of Sales.  “We intend to grow with every new collection to bring more wearable art products to the forefront and expand our capabilities and artist collaborations.  To offer collectors the opportunity to keep their Artteca collections growing every year.”

One of the artists the company is working with in developing clothing prints is Colombian-born Gonzalo Fuenmayor.  This popular contemporary artist was commissioned to create installations and murals at the Faena Hotel in Miami in conjunction with the world-class Art Basel show, held every year in Miami’s bustling urban core. The tropical foliage work from his 2014 “Soledad” charcoal drawing appears on the company’s Allover Jogger Pant and is rendered in luxurious silk fabric.  Other notable artists have also contributed to designs, including Wendy White, who in the past has collaborated with Adidas, Franklin Evans, Jovi Schnell and Ruben Torres Llorca.  Their inspiring artworks translate easily to the clothing pieces on offer, adding vibrant color, rich patterns, and incredible style to each item. The clothing is carefully crafted from some of the finest materials available and fit right in to formal or casual environments. Each clothing item is limited to a small number of copies and comes with a collector’s certificate with artist details. In this way, the clothing serves as a wearable art piece as well as a collectible item to be enjoyed for years to come.  To learn more about the company and the artists behind these stylish limited edition designs, visit http://artteca.com/artists.

Artteca was established in 2015 after a year of development.  The company’s goal was to offer art collectors and casual fans an online boutique that featured high-quality clothing pieces.  By developing wearable art, the clothing helps to engage collectors with contemporary artists in a new and unique way.  “We believe that artwork should not just exist in galleries or museums,” says Flavia Giardinella, Director of Production and Manufacturing, based in Los Angeles.  “By offering customers our stunning clothing pieces, the enjoyment of those artworks become an everyday occurrence.”  To read more about the company, visit http://artteca.com/.
