(Newswire.net — March 17, 2016) Mesa, Arizona — The recent announcement of the acquisition of the rights to some of the most popular medical practice management and electronic medical record software products by e-MDs is seen as benefiting the small- and medium-sized independent medical practices that are serviced by AZCOMP Technologies. The sale of several ambulatory technology solutions, such as McKesson Practice Choice and other software products to e-MDs gives AZCOMP a new partner that is smaller and more focused on servicing the type of medical practices and physician’s offices that have been the primary customers of AZCOMP.

“We work primarily with small to mid-sized independent medical practices to provide our customers with the latest and most advanced software, hardware and support services that are on the market,” according to a spokesman for AZCOMP Technologies. “We believe that working with a smaller supplier that specializes in software programs, such as the enormously popular Medisoft medical billing program, will help us to provide our customers with superior products and services designed specifically for the smaller independent medical practices that form our customer base.”

Although AZCOMP already offers its customers the most popular software packages on the market, dealing with a company that is focused on one segment of the industry could lead to advancements in the existing technology. The fact that AZCOMP and e-MDs service the smaller medical practices market is expected to allow each company to improve the services and products AZCOMP will be able to offer its customers.

Among the software packages acquisitioned that AZCOMP offers its customers is the Lytec practice management system that allows small medical practices to effortlessly combine scheduling, patient billing and revenue management into one easy to learn and use system. New features will include the ability to capture diagnosis and billing information from entries doctors make on their iPhones or iPads. This feature can cut the submission time for claims by as much as 60 percent.

Another of the popular software packages that were sold to e-MDs is Practice Partner. This program allows doctors and medical practice managers to transition to a fully automated patient record system that eliminates paper charts. AZCOMP has 17 years of experience installing and servicing electronic medical record systems for smaller medical practices.

The e-MDs announcement will not affect the service and products that AZCOMP Technologies offer their customers. The business transition from McKesson to e-MDs is projected to be finalized in 30-60 days. Product names may change in the future but the software and packages will continue to be the same top quality offered for small to medium-sized medical practices.
