(Newswire.net — June 2, 2016) Boise, Idaho — For the second time, Idaho entrepreneur Kasey Thompson has been named the state’s Business Owner of the Year.  Selected by a panel of past award winners, Kasey’s successes and humanitarian efforts have propelled him to the top of a competitive category. As the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TNT Logistics, Inc., a freight brokerage firm based in Eagle, Idaho, his work has generated millions of dollars in revenue and created jobs in the region, making him a powerful force in the local economy. The award is a testament to his hard work. “I’m honored to have been selected by the panel of judges,” says Kasey. “I believe that entrepreneurs have an obligation to give back to the communities in which they operate, and I am committed to doing so.”

Kasey has been instrumental in providing financial assistance and his entrepreneurial skills to several prominent regional and national charity organizations. He has worked closely with the United Way, the Wounded Warrior Foundation, and Boys & Girls Clubs in the Boise area. By applying his entrepreneurial skill, he has been able to organize charity fundraising events to help support non-profit groups; one such event, the Eagle Ribfest, drew in over 100,000 attendees and stands as the largest outdoor event ever held in the state. He also worked closely with event organizers to pull off Idaho’s most popular sporting event, the HBO Pay-Per-View fight with Roy Jones, Jr. at the Qwest Arena in Boise’s downtown. With his background in operating successful corporate ventures, Kasey has a talent for bringing together other business owners and stakeholders to achieve greatness. Those talents have helped him generate valuable funding for the non-profit organizations he has worked with; by offering extensive financial support, those organizations are able to concentrate on providing core services for those in need.

Kasey Thompson has been an Idaho businessman since the age of eight, when he launched his first business. He holds an MBA in International Business and Marketing from Boise State University, which he earned in 1996. Not long after receiving his degree, he established Cedar Creek Communications in 2002, his first of many successful ventures. The communications company quickly became a multi-million dollar operation and served as a springboard for further corporate achievements. His current firm, TNT Logistics, Inc., handles trucking and railroad freight brokerage operations throughout the state.
