(Newswire.net — July 29, 2016) –it’s summer, ladies, and along with some SPF protection you’re going to need some new hair-dos to beat the heat.
1. A Relaxed Plait
There are no two things easier to fix in the morning than a pot of coffee, and a low, charming braid. This style lets the world know exactly what you’re about: no drama, lots of laughs, and good times with friends.
To get this style, just french braid a couple of times at the base of your head, and then switch to three-strand braiding the rest of the way down.
2. Understated Low Twist
This ‘do looks great with highlighted or streaked hair. Just comb your hair back, take up hair from both sides in your hands, and twist them all the way back to the nape of your neck. Once there, wrap the pieces of hair around each other and pin in place for a low-key, yet beautiful, summer style.
3. Jersey Headbands
While not recommended for any elegant occasions, the classic jersey headband is a great way to keep flyaway hair off of your face, while still looking great yourself. These headbands are available in beauty stores, but you can also easily make one on your own–no sewing necessary–using an old t-shirt.
4. Lace-Braided Messy Bun
This style is a little bit more complicated than just any old bun. This look is best achieved with thick hair, but it also looks good on thinner hair. Here’s what you do to get this look:
-Take a section of hair from the front, and part it three ways
-Braid the hair once
-Add a new section of hair to the bottom part, then do a lace braid
-Wrap the braid around your head and secure it
-Make your bun, pin it in place, and cover that baby with hairspray
5. Fishtail Braids
Fishtail braids absolutely scream “experimental”. This eye-catching type of braid is best for long hair, or hair with extensions in it for maximum effect, but it’s also possible to do with medium length hair. Just remember to fray some pieces out when you’re done, so the total effect is more relaxed and fun-loving.
This braid can be a little bit complicated, but practice makes perfect. When you’re able to pull off this look quickly, it’s a great way to be elegantly shabby in a snap.
6. High Braid
For this look, follow the natural curve of your cheekbone and gather your hair at the center of your head from this line. Next, pull your hair back into what will begin as a high, sleek ponytail. When you’re done, braid it all the way down. For the best effect, rough-and-fluff the pieces of your long braid for a beautiful, lived-in, beach babe effect.
All of these hairstyles will get your hair to look fabulous all summer long!
