(Newswire.net — August 24, 2016) — The UN urged Philippines to stop executing and killing people linked to the drug business, and threatened that it could punish the “state actors” if they do not comply. The Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte threatened back that the Philippines could leave the UN, calling its officials “stupid,” the Russia Today reports.
“I don’t give a sh*t about them,” he added. “They are the ones interfering. You do not just go out and give a sh*tting statement against a country.”
President Duterte said he has no intention of insulting anyone, but threatened that the Philippines could leave the UN.
“I do not want to insult you, but maybe we’ll just have to decide to separate from the United Nations,” Rodrigo Duterte told journalists on Sunday. “Why do you have to listen to this stupid?” he added.
The president of the Philippines said he could invite Chinese and African nations along with other countries to create a new organization that would not be so dependent on the U.S., and would address global issues differently.
“Look at the iconic boy that was taken out from the rubble and he was made to sit in the ambulance and we saw it,” Duterte reffered to the picture of Omran Daqneesh, a five-year-old Syrian boy who was rescued along with his brother, who died of injuries, while U.S. and Russian Federation blame each other for the attack.
“Why is it that [the] United States is not doing anything? I do not read you. Anybody in that stupid body complaining about the stench there of death?”
The Philippine leader implies that the U.N. doesn’t attack countries that heavily sponsor the organization.
“What do you think the Americans did to the black people there? Is that not rubbing off also? And (critics) say what?”
The angry reaction was provoked by the UN’s special report that claims 665 people have been killed by Philippines security forces since May when Duterte was elected. He claims the police only fired in self-defense.
Duterte, nicknamed “the punisher” for his role in fighting crime in his country, told journalists that he “don’t give a sh*t” about the UN who is meddling in the Philippines internal affairs, adding that he is ready to sacrifice his presidency and his life for his country.
Duerte’s inappropriateness has earned him a reputation of being outspoken and rude. Earlier in August, he called Philip Goldberg, the US ambassador in the country, “Homosexual” and a “son of a *****,” who annoys him. Washington demands clarification.
