Trump Warns ‘Obamacare Will Explode’

(Newswire.net — March 28, 2017) — Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act, also known as Obamacare, was created to improve the healthcare system in the United States. Among other things, it obligates companies with more than 50 employees to pay for their healthcare plans.

The overall idea was to provide healthcare to everyone by paying a small amount per employee, and it sounded like a good plan.

In reality however, companies that have just over 50 employees started laying off people to keep the number below 50, and companies with hundreds of employees started cutting their salaries to compensate for the financial blow.

That was the main reason why U.S. President Donald Trump pledged to dismantle Obamacare, and replace it with an “improved” health plan. In his tweet, Trump warned that Obamacare is a “ticking bomb” just waiting to explode.

Trump also wrote that people shouldn’t worry because “we will all get together and piece together a great healthcare plan.”

Trump’s own healthcare proposal known as Trumpcare has been withdrawn after it failed to receive the needed support and ensure the sufficient amount of votes. For now, Obama’s Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act is here to stay.

It is obvious that Democrats strive to protect Obamacare as it surely looks good in public, but there is a problem. There are people who are greedy and corrupt and therefore, the common welfare is not a priority on their agendas.

One of the reasons Trump didn’t provide enough support among the Republicans is partially due to the social component, but a great amount of resistance also came due to the political factor and the unpopularity of the 45th U.S. President. “I’ve been saying for the last year and a half that the best thing we can do politically speaking is let Obamacare explode,” Trump told the Washington Post.

“When people get a 200 percent increase next year or a 100 percent or 70 percent, that’s their fault,” President Trump told the paper, referring to the healthcare cost increase that it is inevitable, making the Affordable Health Care in fact less affordable.

Trump distanced himself from the impact of Obamacare to the overall medical costs, saying that the law remains “totally the property of the Democrats”.
