This makes him the only person in Idaho history who has won this Business Owner of the Year award twice.

Kasey started his career in business very early in his life. He was eight years old when he started his first company in Rigby, a small town in Eastern Idaho. He then went on to become a missionary in Korea for two years after graduating from high school. There, he oversaw around 200 missionaries. When he returned, he went to Boise State University and graduated with honors in International Business & Marketing.
Although Kasey was much sought after by plenty of Fortune 500 companies due to his academic achievements and exceptional talent in business, he chose to become an entrepreneur instead. He then started the first of his many multi-million corporations—Cedar Creek Communications.

One of his accomplishments is the promotion of the Pay-Per-View fight of Roy Jones, Jr., an American professional boxer, at Qwest Arena in downtown Boise. In addition, Kasey put on one of the largest outdoor event in the history of Idaho which was held over a weekend in Meridian. The event, called Ribfest, broke may attendance records in Idaho.
