(Newswire.net — September 26, 2017) New York, NY — Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork will be offering a Thai Massage Basic Certification Training Program in New York City this fall. It will begin the weekend of October 28, 2017. This 5½-weekend training program takes students through 74 hours of an in-depth study of Thai Yoga Massage, with a focus on hands-on training. The classes will be led by master teacher, Ananda Apfelbaum, who is the celebrated author of “Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork” book and DVD. Ananda has over 25+ years of teaching experience and is highly respected in the Thai Massage field.

The Thai Massage Basic Certification Training Program will teach students a vast repertoire of Thai Massage techniques in the supine, prone, side lying, inverted and seated positions. The program will also introduce Thai Massage’s history, religion, and culture to provide a well-rounded curriculum. The goal of the basic training program is to enable students to be able to give a two-and-a-half-hour traditional Thai Massage. For those who can’t attend the program in full, there is the option of taking different parts of the program via individual workshops.

Ananda has led numerous workshops around the world and has over 28 years of experience as a practitioner. She has been a New York State licensed massage therapist since 1989. Apfelbaum received her certification in Thai massage from the prestigious Buntautuk Traditional Hospital in Chiangmai, Thailand in 1992.

Subsequently, Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork is also offering a Thai Massage Basic Training Certification Program in the spring of 2018, beginning April 14, and running for 5½ weekends. This program will be the same in length and scope as their upcoming fall program.

Later in 2018, there will be a Thai Massage Sacred Bodywork Advanced Certification training program that runs for three weekends, beginning November 30.

All programs are NCBTBM (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork), NYS and Yoga Alliance approved, and are taught by Ananda Apfelbaum.

The upcoming fall training program is expected to be popular and students are encouraged to enroll early while the early-bird registration is being offered until October 7, after which the price increases by $100. This is a unique and memorable experience for those who wish to learn more about, and ultimately practice the art of Thai yoga massage.
