Michael Roub Boosts Cancer Fight on Real Men Wear Pink

The passionate health advocate now maintains a page on Real Men Wear Pink, a fundraising campaign opportunity exclusively extended to men who have been nominated by their locality. Through this initiative, Michael hopes to make an impact.

Michael’s commitment to the battle against breast cancer springs from his personal experience. In April 2014, his wife Lisa, a health-conscious woman, was diagnosed with the disease. With the support of family and friends—and through a year of surgeries, chemotherapy and treatments—they fought it out until Lisa was declared free from cancer.

Ever since his wife’s heartbreaking diagnosis, Michael Roub’s perspective on breast cancer has completely changed. He realized that the harrowing experience may be over for Lisa but breast cancer still affects millions of women and ruins the lives of families in the United States and around the world.

For this reason, Michael has and continues to be a strong advocate for awareness about the deadly disease. Along with his wife and son, he became a volunteer and an active supporter of events and fundraising campaigns against breast cancer. He has particularly been involved with the American Cancer Society. For years, he has actively focused on charity efforts on behalf of the organization in Southern California.

Considering the tireless initiatives in which he actively participates, Michael believes that while the end of cancer may not be in sight just yet, half the battle has been won considering the tremendous support to the cause.
