(Newswire.net — March 2, 2018) — Dayton, Ohio – The American College of Health Care Administrators (ACHCA) has awarded the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award to two Capital Health Care Network Skilled Nursing Facilities and their administrators for 2017 achievements.
Kevin Case, of The Gables Care Center, Hopedale Ohio, and Chastity Strozier of Shiloh Springs Center, Trotwood, Ohio, and their facilities, were recipients of the award, which is achieved by only 11% of the nation’s Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs).
Since 2008, the Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award has annually recognized high-performing skilled nursing facilities and the leaders who make them excel. The selection process uses the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) database to assess the following SNF performance metrics:
• The current administrator has been the administrator of record for the full calendar year
• No survey (Health, Fire Safety, and Complaint) in the past 3 years with a citation above “E” in Scope and Severity
• Occupancy of at least 85%
• At least one CMS 4-quarter average Quality Measure score equal to or better than the US top 10% for seven short stay and long stay Quality Measures
• Avoidance of Special Focus Facility status
