Research finds that biotin may potentially help fight birth defects. Birth defects occur when a baby is still developing in the womb. They can be minor or severe, and may affect organ function and appearance, as well as physical and mental development.

According to statistics, 1 out of every 33 American babies are born with a birth defect. Most birth defects are developed within the first three months of pregnancy.
