(Newswire.net — April 10, 2018) — Founded on 24th June 1910 in Milan, Alfa Romeo has since established themselves as one of the most famous car brands available on the market today. From is racing models, to the more road-worthy of cars, Alfa Romeo’s offering of over 60 models certainly haven’t often deterred from the luxury and quality they promise. However, just like any car brand, Alfa Romeo has offered some particularly memorable models, and we’ve pulled together a quick guide to some of the best.
The Giulietta
The first ever version of Alfa Romeo’s Giulietta car was certainly a welcome addition to the automobile industry. This compact and frankly adorable model was created with affordability, efficiency and convenience in mind. This saloon was the first family car that the brand produced and was designed and brought to fruition in the incredible city of Milan, giving the Italian people a better choice of car for the everyday lives. It was one of the smallest that the company would ever come to make for everyday use, but has certainly left its mark on the hearts of car lovers everywhere.
The 156
Alfa Romeo hasn’t always been thought of highly and it’s no secret that some of their models may not have reached the standards expected of them from their customers. However, the Alfa Romeo 156 was one example, and a good one at that, of when they got it right. This model was easy to drive, had a range of engines to choose from dependant on the customer’s need and it’s certainly up there with the best looking cars the brand has ever made. A few of the cars made faced performance and quality woes, but when they worked, they definitely worked.
The Alfasud
If you’re looking for a car with amazing handling, then the Alfa Romeo Alfasud was certainly the one you would’ve gone for back in the 70’s. It was the first car the brand ever made with front-wheel drive, but despite this, it was one of the best race-worthy cars they’ve ever produced. It handled well, it looked great, it had quite some speed behind it and it was a worthy competitor of other, perhaps more expensive rivals.
The 8C Competizione
The 8C Competizione has proven to be one of the most beautiful cars that Alfa Romeo have ever produced. What’s more, it runs well too. With its curved, smooth-lined body, the speeds it can reach are met with the least amount of air resistance for a smooth, seamless drive. It’s not the most powerful car that Alfa Romeo has ever produced, but this supercar certainly wasn’t far off.
The Giulia Quadrifolgio
Another stunning car to rival even that of Porsche or Jaguar, the Giulia Quadrifolgio promised powerful engines, smooth driving and plenty to enjoy inside the car, and it delivered on it all. From the simple ‘start’ button on the wheel, to the infotainment system that most cars seem to come with as standard nowadays, it delivered on its promises and then some – after all, it wouldn’t win Best Sports Car from What Car? Car Of The Year 2018 for nothing!
