(Newswire.net — May 16, 2018) Harvard, Massachusetts — The healthy hydration company Vitamin 1 is hailed for its dedication to supporting athletic programs at all levels. Michael Taylor, CEO and founder of the Boston area-based drink manufacturer, recently announced that his company would be partnering with the upcoming Julian Edelman Football Clinic, scheduled for July 21, 2018 at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury, Massachusetts. Presented by Citi, the clinic is designed to provide young athletes with skills both on and off the field. “Our company is proud to be able to provide for young athletes as the official drink of the Clinic,” says Mr. Taylor. “These are tomorrow’s star athletes, and the Clinic will give them a range of skills and experiences they can use later in life.” To learn more about the Clinic, visit https://www.citiprivatepass.com/landing/julian_edelman_football_clinic_2018.html.

The annual one-day clinic is open to boys and girls from grades one through eight, and is designed to provide a wide range of activities. Participants can play in non-contact games, develop fundamental football handling skills, attend lectures, and receive hands-on instruction from pro athletes and coaches from the National Football League (NFL). The Clinic was developed by Julian Edelman, a star wide receiver for the New England Patriots and two-time Super Bowl victor. Edelman played his collegiate football career for Kent State in Ohio and the College of San Mateo in California; at both schools, he was the quarterback. After selection in the 2009 NFL draft, he transitioned to the role of wide receiver, but is known for his versatility on the field, playing defensive positions as needed by the team. He holds a number of single-season collegiate and professional football records. Despite being sidelined with an injury for the entire 2017 NFL season, Edelman is expected to be ready to compete in the 2018 season. In the meantime, he has worked with youth sports programs, helping to develop fundamental skills for young athletes.

As a military operator and security specialist, Michael Taylor was exposed to some of the harshest conditions in the world, primarily in Middle Eastern conflicts. During his time working with the U.S. Army Special Forces, he and his fellow soldiers experienced loss of performance and cramping due to severe fluid loss. He learned that popular hydration beverages on the market were loaded with sugar, unnecessary calories, and artificial colorings and flavorings, further impacting performance. His solution was to develop the revolutionary Vitamin 1, a healthy hydration beverage that replaces critical electrolytes without sugar’s caloric penalty. Since the company’s first days in business, Mike and his team have forged partnerships with a number of athletic programs at the collegiate and professional levels. Working with the Julian Edelman Football Clinic and similar programs has allowed the company to interact with the next generation of athletes. “It has been incredibly rewarding to be chosen as official drink sponsor for this and other sports team programs,” adds Mr. Taylor.
