(Newswire.net — May 25, 2018) — One of the many challenges every entrepreneur and company faces is how to successfully grow their business. With more companies starting up daily, competition can be fierce. As such, using the best software and staying abreast of the latest marketing trends is key. Smart entrepreneurs realize one of the best ways to do this is to attend live events and conferences.

Infusionsoft is currently one of the leading marketing and sales automation softwares on the market and has traditionally held an annual ICON conference since their first event in 2006. In an effort to prioritize its focus on software development, Infusionsoft has entrusted the future of their ICON event to one of its top partners, Box Out Marketing.

Box Out Marketing is led by CEO Tyler Garns, who is a former vice president of Marketing at Infusionsoft and has over a decade of experience helping small business owners succeed. When Infusionsoft announced their decision to halt their annual ICON event, Garns stepped in with only three-months’ notice to continue the tradition of supporting the Infusionsoft community.

His first decision? To rebrand the event as “SuccessCon.”

With the help of the Box Out Marketing team, Garns was able to swiftly organize a professional event with over 40 speakers and dozens of educational sessions. The keynote speaker was Infusionsoft CEO Clate Mask, whose opening keynote was entitled, “Facing Challenges with Grit and Optimism.”

His discourse transparently shared the obstacles that Infusionsoft had recently overcome and the lessons learned as a result.

The top 3 lessons were as follows:

  1. To focus on service, not on sales

  2. WHO got you here won’t get you there

  3. I (the entrepreneur) was holding us back

Clate Mask also announced Infusionsoft’s “Mars Mission,” which is their 13-year initiative to positively impact the bottom line of over 5 million small businesses worldwide by 2030.

The new mission to help simplify growth for small businesses includes significant updates to their software, their branding, and even their pricing model. Infusionsoft is no longer charging a significant setup fee, as they had in the past.

Instead, any small business owner can now start using Infusionsoft for free.

However, with all the new changes, the tradition of holding an Ultimate Marketer Contest, founded by ICON organizers, continues with SuccessCon. This year four candidates were chosen from a field of applicants based on performance metrics like revenue growth, customer growth, time savings, and their impact on the community.

The four finalists were LearnDoBecome, Rockvam Boat YardsPROaupair, and GroveMenus. Each company representative shared details on how they were able to successfully scale their business by using Infusionsoft and their marketing strategies.

After each person shared their story, the event attendees voted for their favorite candidate using a text message system provided by Skipio.

The contest winner was LearnDoBecome.com, an online community created and managed by April and Eric Perry. Their presentation centered on recent marketing efforts around their Steps to Everyday Productivity program, an online training resource to help anyone get rid of digital and physical overwhelm by building and using a “Command Central.”

When presenter Eric Perry was asked what they planned to do with the $5,000 prize money, generously provided by event sponsor Information Street, he stated, “We are excited and grateful to have been selected by our peers at SuccessCon!  We didn’t enter the contest for the reward, but rather to have the ability to share our story, how the Infusionsoft ecosystem has helped us grow our business, and to share a case-study that will be of benefit to others looking to grow in similar ways.”

The Perrys revealed they will donate the $5,000 prize money to Mentors International, a charity that supports international entrepreneurship by offering micro-loans and training to small business owners in developing countries.

During the event, Garns also announced their intention to host more SuccessCon events moving forward. In addition to the US, locations so far include the United Kingdom and Australia in 2019.

When asked about why he made the bold decision to host the inaugural SuccessCon event on such short notice and how he felt the event was received, Garns replied, “I just wasn’t about to let this tradition die. The Infusionsoft community is like family to me.  This yearly gathering is when everyone gets together and shares what’s working, and we all lift each other in amazing ways. That’s something worth keeping.”

With Infusionsoft’s renewed focus on software development and customer acquisition, it only makes sense that more small business owners will want and need expert education on how to use the software to its full capacity to grow their businesses faster.

With the transition of ICON to SuccessCon now complete, Infusionsoft users can feel secure knowing it can count on Box Out Marketing and the Infusionsoft Partner community to help them with ongoing education and best practices.
