The July 30-August 2 courses meet all requirements for the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) School-Based Law Enforcement Proficiency Certificate. All Texas Peace Officers in attendance at the courses will be granted 40 hours of continuing education credits. Numerous topics will be covered, including:

• Active shooter response tactics (individual SRO/SSO)
• SRO/SSO roles and responsibilities
• Understanding and interacting with traumatized and at-risk students
• Safety and security audits
• Emergency planning
• Participating within an academic environment
• Off-site security considerations

• Special event and extracurricular activity security considerations
