(Newswire.net — July 31, 2018) — Gathering this summer and converging on the beautiful city of Nassau Bahamas, will be youths and teens from all around the country along with parents, pastors, children’s and youth ministry leaders, to attend the Highway Church Of God Bahamas’ (HCOG) annual Youth & Teens Leadership Empowerment Conference – GYC 2018.

An annual event which is scheduled to be hosted this year August 6-11, 2018 by the HCOG General Youth Department, the Conference proposes to be a powerful 5-day event designed to inspire, encourage and equip youth and teens to personalize and live out their faith in Jesus Christ, in the midst of shifting attitudes and worldviews which present an anti-Christian culture as the politically correct way of life, to youths and teens today.

Pastor Conrad L. Jones, the General Youth Director, spoke about the event stating that “Tuesday – Friday evening at 7:30 p.m., kids, teens, young adults and their youth leaders, will get the chance to connect and hang out with others from all around the country; to build and deepen friendships; to talk about God and His influence upon their lives; to share their gifts and talents to impact their generation and the next. Every evening, dynamic speakers will share inspiring and challenging stories about real life, about God, and about how and where the two are intertwined, so that teens and youths better understand how to live out their faith.

Jones continued expressing that “On Saturday morning (August 11) at 9:00 a.m., we will gather along with Children’s and Youth Ministry Leaders, Associate & Senior Pastors, Sunday School Teachers and ministry volunteers from around the Bahamas, to focus on relevant and practical topics pertaining to youth development and real-world issues affecting today’s young people. We want to help leaders to stay current in their field, to be equipped with the necessary tools and strategies to help guide and shape the next generation for national and global leadership roles, and also to help youth leaders build wider networks of colleagues and friends to enable them to get things done easier and better”.

General Youth Convention (GYC) 2018 will be held this year at LIFE Worship Center located in the C.H. Reeves Auditorium, Robinson Road Nassau Bahamas, where General Superintendent Bishop Denczil Rolle is the Senior Pastor.
