(Newswire.net — August 8, 2018) Orlando, FL — Infections are the type of condition that require immediate and proper treatment. Urinary tract infections are a type that is extremely common nowadays. It often affects women and is known for the troublesome symptoms it causes.

According to experts, 50 to 60 percent of the population will experience a UTI in their lifetime. In women, this type of infection is considered to be the most frequent bacterial infection.

It is worth mentioning that many also suffer from recurrent infections. This means getting two or even more infections in just six months. UTIs mean different types of infections, which include urethritis, cystitis, and pyelonephritis.

The Mayo Clinic revealed that the most common are those affecting the bladder and urethra.  Experts warn that this infection shouldn’t be allowed to reach the kidneys to avoid a more serious situation.

Elodi Dielubanza, M.D., an associate surgeon and urologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, has revealed that the largest risk factor for UTIs is the native anatomy of women.

It is worth mentioning this type of infection is normally caused by the E. coli bacteria, which can naturally be found in the GI tract. A majority of E. coli strains are harmless, but there are strains that trigger sickness and diarrhea.

The urethra of women is shorter, and this is one reason why they are more prone to this infection.

Doreen Chung, M.D., a urologist at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, also said that some people have cells with receptors that allow bacteria to stick more easily.

According to Dr. Dielubanza and Sovrin M. Shah, M.D., an assistant professor and attending physician in the Department of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, scientists also reveal that UTI risk increases by simply being sexually active as bacteria can spread.

Experts warn against the use of fingers or toys during sex as it can cause movement of bacteria. They instead recommend increased water intake, and even the use of cranberry.

In a study published in the American Family Physician journal, it was cranberry juice helped in reducing the recurrence of UTIs in some women.

Cranberry contains a type of sugar called D-Mannose, which is thought to be helpful against UTIs. D-Mannose works by sticking to the E. coli bacteria and eliminating them from the body.

To experience its benefits, it is wise to consider the use of Purest Vantage D-Mannose, which is highly potent and pure. It has been popularized by the benefits it was able to offer to individuals who suffered from the infection.
