(Newswire.net — October 23, 2018) Orlando, FL — Statistics show that quite a number of men nowadays struggle from prostate cancer. This is why health experts strongly recommend resorting to measures helpful in preventing the onset of the condition.

In a study conducted by UCLA researchers, it was found that inflammation may be associated with an increased risk of prostate cancer.

It is worth mentioning that a formerly unrecognized type of progenitor cell was found in abnormally high numbers in inflamed areas of the prostate. It is important to understand that such a type is rare in most regions of this human gland.

According to researchers, these progenitor cells can initiate prostate cancer as a response to genetic changes.

The results of this new study indicates that inflammation increases the overall risk for the disease. This is due to its effects of enhancing the available pool of progenitor cells, which can develop into prostate cancer.

These scientists suggest that chronic inflammation of the prostate may be one of the risk factors for high-grade prostate cancer.

This UCLA-led research formerly demonstrated two different types of cells, which are called basal and luminal.

Colleagues at Johns Hopkins Medical Center have further observed that in the proximity of inflammation, the prostate cells seemed to be different.

It has been suggested that cells from areas with inflammation are progenitor cells, which can actually initiate aggressive tumors.

This amazing study was led by Dr. Andrew Goldstein, an assistant professor of molecular biology.

Inflammation has long been linked with the onset of various diseases and disorders. It is imperative for men to take the measures necessary so that they’d be able to ward off such a fatal condition.

In the United States, prostate cancer is considered to be the second leading cause of cancer death. This makes it second to lung cancer.

Some natural remedies are found to be helpful in fighting inflammation, and it includes ashwagandha. This Ayurvedic herb has an impressively long history of medicinal use.

According to a study, it was able to reduce stress through neutralizing the hormone called cortisol.

This 64-person placebo-controlled study revealed that cortisol stimulates the Cox-2 enzyme, which can be found in all cells of the body. COX-2 produces inflammation, and this is why ashwagandha in decreasing inflammation.

Ashwagandha has also long been known to offer a range of health benefits. This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise that many nowadays are turning to its use through supplementation.

One of the popular supplements in the market is Divine Bounty Ashwagandha, which is highly potent and pure.
