Steinbaum is director of women’s heart health at the Heart and Vascular Institute at Lenox Hill Hospital and she’s the American Heart Association spokesperson.

She adds that chronic stress can trigger a range negative health issues, which include fatigue, inflammation, irregular heartbeat, and hypertension.

It is wise to figure out stress triggers and understand one’s stress tolerance levels. Experts recommend knowing stress triggers before using some stress management tactics.
