Doors open at 2:00 pm for screening and testing, and baking will commence at 3:00.

This inaugural event marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month will offer couseling and screening for the BRCA gene, and provide registrants with educational resources. Afterward, participants will come together to knead and braid challah – a special Jewish bread – while enjoying social time together.
The BRCA Gene test is a blood test that analyzes DNA to identify harmful changes or mutations in the breast cancer susceptibility genes. Women who have inherited mutations of these genes are thought to be at higher risk of developing breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
