(Newswire.net — October 29, 2018) Wilmington, DE — Stretch marks are often caused by stretching of the skin during weight changes or pregnancy. However, researchers suggest skin stretching is actually not the only risk factor.

A new study was published in the British Journal of Dermatology. In this study, the investigator tried to see what causes stretch marks at a molecular level. It was carried out by Frank Wang, M.D., assistant professor and dermatologist at the University of Michigan Health System.

“Most of the existing products aren’t based on solid scientific research,” said Wang. It is worth mentioning that stretch marks often affect many aspects of a woman’s life. This includes their quality of life, self-esteem, and willingness to engage in certain activities are affected.

According to research, the striae gravidarum or the line-shaped lesions affect around 50 to 90 percent of women. However, it is worth mentioning that certain factors can increase the risk, such as family history or the amount of weight gain.

When it comes to naturally healing the skin, one of the best remedies is aloe vera. According to studies, aloe vera gel contains skin softening and soothing ingredients. This medicinal plant has long been used in the treatment of sunburns, and is popularized widely by its antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties.

The Mayo Clinic reveals that aloe vera can heal wounds or skin injuries like stretch marks.

In some studies, it has been found to reduce the visibility of scars, particularly ones caused by acne.

Scientists found that aloe era could repair the dermis’ damaged collagen fibers. It is also loaded not just with water but also nutrients that aid in sustaining skin tissues.

Due to its ability to penetrate the skin deeply, it offers nourishment and repair caused by stretch marks.

It is worth mentioning that aloe vera has also been found to improve the health and appearance of the skin. It can reduce dryness and moisturize the skin, and this could improve its elasticity and strength against a range of threats.

This medicinal plant is even incorporated with many skin care products in the market due to its remarkable skin healing benefits.

DermaSafe Stretch Mark And Scar Cream could be an excellent source of aloe vera’s skin healing benefits.

This cream continues to gain popularity due to the remarkable effects it produces. It can be extremely helpful to individuals who want to get rid of stretch marks and improve the overall appearance of their skin.
