(Newswire.net — November 15, 2018) Orlando, FL — The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders said that binge eating disorder in particular affects men almost as much as women.

Eating disorders have been found to be twice as frequent in females. However, in the male population, there are many who suffer from it.

According to Wendy Oliver-Pyatt, MD, binge eating episodes are associated with three or more of some eating practices.

This includes eating very quickly, eating a lot when not hungry, eating in secret to hide how much is being eaten, eating beyond feeling full, and feeling guilty after a binge.

Oliver-Pyatt is an executive director and chief medical officer at the Oliver-Pyatt Centers in South Miami, Florida.

The Binge Eating Disorder Association has revealed that 40 percent of the 10 million Americans who binge eat are males. A recent study was published in the International Journal of Eating Disorders. It was found that roughly 7.5 percent of men and 11 percent of women struggle from binge eating.

Binge eaters are more likely to suffer from weight-related bullying and low self-esteem. They may even use food in coping with stress and numbing their emotions.

Unfortunately, the health risks of binge eating are serious. It can eventually lead to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some with weight-related conditions. It may even affect mental health, and trigger anxiety and depression.

Quite a number of people deal with their anxiety and stress through food. It is important to take the measures necessary in dealing with stress, anxiety, and sleep issues well.

Some nutrients have been found to play a significant role in doing this. One is B vitamins, which have long been found to regulate levels of serotonin.

Increased intake of B vitamins is speculated to improve mood and reduce binge eating episodes.

Another nutrient is chromium, which is essential for those who have sugar cravings. According to experts, it aids in the transport of insulin to the cells. This regulates glucose so that the hormones cease in sending messages to the brain that sugar is needed.

Scientists further recommend manganese, which aids in the metabolism and transport of glucose. It has been found to help stabilize sugar in reducing sugar cravings. There are other nutrients like magnesium glycinate, prebiotics, inositol, gotu kola, and zinc.

Many of the nutrients believed to fight binge-eating can be found in Divine Bounty Men’s Multivitamins. This amazing formula continues to gaining increasing popularity due to its high potency and purity.
