It takes a brave soul to take on the Caminito del Rey. Originally built in 1905, and restored recently, it consists of a narrow walkway 100m above the ground in a narrow gorge. The walk has some amazing views, and some glass sections to look down into the gorge. The walk takes around 4 hours, and is around 1 hours drive from Malaga. But be sure to book in advance, this tour can book out months in advance.

Explore a melting pot of culture in Cordoba

Around 158 km from Malaga is Cordoba, a place with an enticing mix of Jewish, Christian and Islamic cultures. The Mezquita is a world famous historical mosque-turned cathedral of great beauty and an unusual style. The huge bell tower gives great views across the town.

Head underground in Nerja
