(Newswire.net — February 20, 2019) — Tulsa, OK — Earlier this week, a smash and grab raid at an adult store in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was captured on CCTV. Police have reviewed the CCTV footage and have confirmed that they are looking for a male suspect in connection with the crime. However, it has also been reported that no identification has been made and no arrests have been made, despite the fact that police believe the man is familiar with the store, which only opened late last year.
The incident took place in the early hours of Monday 19th February, with CCTV footage showing the suspect smashed into the glass doors and entered the Hustler Hollywood store in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 3.24am. The same footage shows that the man spent only one minute inside the store and was seen coming back out of the shop at 3.25am. At this point, the CCTV footage showed him getting back into his vehicle and driving away having taken several hundred dollars of merchandise and caused costly damage to the shop front.
In addition to this, police commented that the man was probably familiar with the store layout. This conclusion was reached after officers viewed the CCTV footage, which showed that the man had a clear idea of which section he needed to go to and made his way straight over. He then took a number of items amounts for around $300. However, police said that the major cost has come from the damage caused to the glass doors after the suspect drive his vehicle into them.
Police express concern over measures taken by the suspect
The smash and grab incident took place while the store was empty in the early hours of the morning. However, employees of the store arrived to a scene of destruction, with the glass doors of the store smashed in. Police were then alerted and the CCTV footage was reviewed. However, police did say that they have been unable to identify the suspect as yet.
One police officer from the Tulsa Police Department did comment that the man seems to have taken extreme measures in order to gain access to the store simply to steal some sex toys and lingerie that amounted to a few hundred dollars. She said that this seemed to indicate that the man was desperate, which was a concerned because it would be difficult to determine what actions the man may take next.
The manager of the store confirmed that two sex toys and some lingerie were taken in all, which a value of around $300. However, the extensive damage caused to the front of the shop is likely to cost the business far more than the value of the goods that were taken. In the meantime, police are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch with the Tulsa Police Department.
