(Newswire.net — February 28, 2019) Orlando, FL — Osteoarthritis is undeniably prevalent nowadays. Sufferers of this arthritic condition are often advised to follow healthy diet and lifestyle. Unfortunately, it appears that many are unable to comply with this simple requirement.

A recent report was published in the Arthritis Care & Research.

The scientists aimed at objectively comparing measured physical activity (PA) in older adults. The subjects had symptomatic knee osteoarthritis (SxOA) and ones in the same age group without the condition.

In this research, the investigators also analyzed those sufferers of SxOA who were 50 to 85 years of age, and who came from the Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI, n=491) and the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES, n=449).

The subjects were made to wear uniaxial accelerometer for over 10 hours a day for a minimum of 4 days in the NHANES data, reviewed from 2003 to 2004, as well as in the OAI data reviewed from 2008 to 2010.

Researchers found that both groups had similarly reduced levels of PA. They further found that in those with SxOA, the duration they engaged in performing moderate to vigorous PA ranged from a median of 1 to 22 minutes a day.

The general population had 1 to 24 minutes a day.

According to the study authors, contemporary studies have consistently demonstrated that in the United States, there is a high prevalence of sedentariness.

There have been lots of national campaigns discouraging the consequences of physical inactivity. However, improvements have been modest.

Osteoarthritis is undeniably a painful condition, and it produces many symptoms. This includes physical limitations, which significantly promote a sedentary lifestyle. Sedentariness has long been thought to worsen osteoarthritis.

What makes it even more alarming is it promotes weight gain, which doesn’t just increase pain and worsen arthritis, but also triggers other conditions.

Sufferers of symptomatic knee osteoarthritis and even the general population are encouraged to engage in moderate to vigorous exercise. Regularly engaging in physical activities has also been found to ward off diseases.

Today, many osteoarthritis sufferers turn to pain relieving medications. While these pharmaceutical drugs are helpful, they are also known to cause side effects.

There are natural remedies believed to be significantly helpful for individuals with osteoarthritis. One is glucosamine, which is also widely thought to be a safe alternative to pain relievers.

Emerging studies have revealed that glucosamine could aid in joint cartilage health, which is often damaged as a result of osteoarthritis. Glucosamine is popularized not just by its efficacy, but also because it doesn’t cause side effects.

To experience its anti-osteoarthritis benefits, it is wise to consider the use of VitaBreeze Glucosamine (https://www.amazon.com/Glucosamine-Chondroitin-Turmeric-Dietary-Supplement/dp/B00DUMO9X4).
