(Newswire.net — July 10, 2019) Coeur d’Alene, ID — Ultimate Kitchen announced that their innovative Soap Dispenser Extension Tube will soon be available in select retail stores across the US.

Michael Weir, founder of Ultimate Kitchen brand, is traveling to Chicago in July to the ECRM event for Housewares, Household & General Merchandise Program on the 21st through the 24th. This event will be attended by over 40 major retail store buyers from around the US. These buyers are looking for new and innovative products for the home that are designed to make life easier around the home but are not yet discovered by brick and mortar retailers.

“We’re excited to be sitting down with over 30 retail buyers at this year’s ECRM event in Chicago,” said Weir. “The event will give us an opportunity to showcase a unique product that has been well received with our online customers, but not yet discovered in the traditional brick and mortar retail stores.”

Ultimate Kitchen’s sink soap dispenser extension tube was developed after extensive product research and surveys from their existing customer base, as well as product design research at local grocery stores. Weir explained that their final product is actually the third full production design.

“We had limited success with our first two designs, said Weir. “We surveyed a large number of our soap dispenser customers to find out exactly what they wanted to see in an extension tube. As a result of those surveys, we learned that our customers didn’t just want a tube, they wanted a bottle stopper that fit snuggly into their soap container and a check valve that would keep the dispenser primed. Armed with that information, we traveled to every grocery store and warehouse type retailer within 20 miles of our office and measured the inner dimension of the bottle openings of all the soap bottles we could find. From that data, we designed two different bottle stoppers, each with two different flexible silicone ribbed stopper dimensions. We discovered that it actually takes two different stoppers, with different dimensions to make sure that one of the two will fit any of the bottles we measured. This research, and the realization that we actually needed to include two different sized bottle stoppers, made all the difference in the final design.”

Weir filed an application for a patent on this design early 2018. The patent is still pending as of the time of this publication but is expected to issue in late 2019.

The upcoming ECRM event in Chicago will be the first opportunity for traditional brick & mortar retailers to see this innovative product.

The motivation behind the design of the Ultimate Kitchen Extension Tube is to allow the user to run a tube from their soap dispenser directly to a large bottle of soap sitting in the cabinet below their sink. The tube eliminates the need for the user to refill a smaller bottle of soap attached to the dispenser. For many consumers, this means that they will no longer need to crawl under their sink to unscrew a bottle, refill it, and then crawl under the sink again to screw the bottle back onto the dispenser.

As one online reviewer stated, “This is such a great idea, I wish I had thought of it. Works as described. Easy to install. I don’t have to ever fill the small soap bottle again. Now I just buy the large soap refill bottles, put the tube in, place it under the sink, and probably won’t have to change the bottle for about a year.”

Another unique aspect to the product design is the built-in check valve. The check valve is in the tube itself and keeps the soap that has been pumped up the tube from draining back into the soap bottle. With this check valve, the user can have the confidence that soap will flow out of the dispenser with the first pump, even if it has not been used in days or weeks. The check valve ensures that the soap dispenser never loses its prime.

Ultimate Kitchen has been selling their new extension tube online at Ultimate-Kitchen.com and at SinkSoapDispenser.com for the last year. “Sales are expected to continue to climb once we get this product into retail stores”, said Weir. “Our sales have grown steadily online, but the challenge with online sales is that the consumer needs to actually be searching for this product or a similar product before they even find it. However, once we have the chance to capture the attention of people walking down the aisle, we can easily generate more sales with packaging that tells the story of our product.”

Ultimate Kitchen’s sink soap dispensers and their soap dispenser extension tube will be on display for over 30 retail buyers at this year’s Housewares, Household & General Merchandise ECRM Program from July 21st – 24th. At this show, Ultimate Kitchen’s founder, Michael Weir, will sit down with over 30 retailers from across the US to tell the success story of their unique line of products.
