(Newswire.net — October 3, 2019) — Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. is pleased to announce its registration under the International Trade and Arms Regulations (ITAR). As an ITAR-registered company, Hoffmann + Krippner can now offer its full portfolio of industry-leading sensor technologies and best-in-class engineering capabilities to organizations working within the U.S. defense sector.
ITAR registration is required for companies that wish to engage in “manufacturing or exporting, or temporarily importing, a defense article or furnishing a defense service” in the United States, per ITAR 22 CFR §122.1. Registration means that Hoffmann + Krippner has successfully completed all steps required by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) in the U.S. State Department, including implementing strict security controls regarding the communication, handling, storage and ultimate destruction of ITAR-controlled information.
“Though we have long worked with customers with sensitive projects and exacting requirements, we are excited to be able offer our state-of-the-art sensors and technologies to organizations operating in defense markets,” says Jens Kautzor, CEO of Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. “This registration, along with our DIS EIN ISO 9001-2000 certification, demonstrates our commitment to the strict practices that define proper handling of sensitive customer information and requirements.”
Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. functions as a liaison between U.S. customers and Hoffmann + Krippner GmbH and its partners in Germany to distribute and resell custom membrane switches, keyboards, touchscreens, sensors, potentiometers, and other industrial electronics. For example, the group offers a full range of both off-the-shelf and custom-specified sensors for defense, aerospace, and military-type applications, including linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs), force sensors and load cells, ultrasonic sensors, strain gages, and the best-in-class Sensofoil® membrane sensors.
All products associated with Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. are designed and built by industry leaders whose expertise is reflected in their multiple patents and decades of experience. Defense industry organizations can thus now leverage world-class subject matter experts in automation, sensor technologies, input devices, software development, and more.
ITAR registration means these products and solutions can then be imported into the U.S. by Hoffmann + Krippner, Inc. under the security protocols governed by ITAR and the State Department.
Known for the quality of its German-engineered products, Hoffmann + Krippner thus offers access to a robust partner ecosystem that enables enormous flexibility to meet customer needs and to act as a “one-stop shop” for meeting almost any electronics-, sensor- or input device-related needs.
With a variety of form factors, designs and customization options, Hoffmann + Krippner products can fit a huge array of applications that range from compact and convenient to robust designs hardened against extreme environments and can’t-fail applications. As a result, these sensors and other electronics can be used in a variety of industrial sectors, including security-sensitive applications in aerospace and defense where qualities like absolute precision and durability are mandated. The result is cutting-edge sensor technologies and solutions that yield improved performance, lower costs, and greater efficiencies.
“ITAR registration means customers in these areas can now confidently source products and solutions from Hoffmann + Krippner,” says Kautzor. “We have already successfully implemented hundreds of projects with and for our customers. Now we can do the same for defense and military contractors, vendors, and suppliers.”
