( — October 24, 2019) Orlando, FL — Experts have been calling Alzheimer’s a global epidemic, and this is due to the fact that it affects over 35 million individuals worldwide.

Due to its high prevalence, more and more experts are investigating on this condition and how its prevalence can be reduced.

A new study has been able to identify the changes in the neurochemistry and anatomy of the brain. It is worth noting these changes happen decades before people experience any symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.

Accumulating evidence suggests that some brain changes may occur decades prior to the appearance of Alzheimer’s symptoms.

Experts warn that according to estimates, the rates of Alzheimer’s disease will double nearly every 2 decades.

The study appears in the Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience.

It was spearheaded by Laurent Younes, Ph.D., who is a professor and chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.

In particular, the investigators found that tau levels changed 34 years before the appearance of the symptoms. In the subjects who developed Alzheimer’s, it has been found that there was an appearance of the signs of cognitive impairment 11 to 15 years prior to the onset of any symptoms.

The number of studies investigating on the potential cures for Alzheimer’s continue to increase. It is worth mentioning that in some studies, scientists recommend the use of medicinal kitchen ingredients like a mushroom called lion’s mane for brain health.

According to researchers, this natural remedy possesses special compounds called hericenones and erinacines. These are compounds found to be helpful in stimulating the growth of brain cells.

Experts further reveal that the use of this natural remedy may aid in offering protection against the degenerative brain condition. In studies involving mice, it has been able to prevent damage to neurons that is often caused by the amyloid-beta plaques.

It is worth realizing that the amyloid-beta plaques build up in the brain of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease. What makes it all the more beneficial is that it also decreases the symptoms of memory loss.

Some studies also show its use produce improvements in cases of mild cognitive impairment. While more and more research studies are still being performed to learn more about its healing effects, its use is actually widespread.

There are formulas like Divine Bounty Lion’s Mane, which is believed to be superior over other brands. It offers 1800 mg of highly potent and superior-quality lion’s mane, and is even carefully made for maximum absorption (
