(Newswire.net — April 8, 2020) Orlando, FL — Having the right diet has always been considered to be one of the best ways to maintain visual health. It is so important that in a study, not having a healthy diet has been found to wreak havoc on the eyes.

The findings of this research were published in the Annals of Internal Medicine.

In this study, the researchers from the University of Bristol found that blindness resulted from a young patient’s being an extremely picky or fussy eater. The researchers recommend that clinicians should take into account the nutritional optic neuropathy in any patients experiencing unexplained vision symptoms as well as poor diet to avoid permanent vision loss.

This should be the cause regardless of one’s BMI.

According to experts, nutritional optic neuropathy pertains to a dysfunction of the optic nerve that is vital for vision. It is worth realizing that this condition is reversible when caught early on. However when left untreated, it could result in permanent structural damage to the optic nerve and blindness.

It is also worth noting that aside from being a picky eater, the patient had no visible signs of malnutrition and had a normal BMI.

This is just one of the research studies stressing the relevance of following a healthy diet for eye health. It is worth mentioning that a healthy diet could offer a range of nutrients particularly protective and beneficial for the eyes.

In taking better care of eye health, it is important to realize that certain nutrients like B vitamins have been found useful. The eyes must get the nutrients they need to function and stay healthy.

B vitamins like B9, B6, and B12 are particularly found helpful for eye health. Many research studies have looked into the powerful healing goodness of these nutrients.

According to researchers, the combination of these B vitamins can reduce levels of homocysteine. This is a type of protein in the body that may be linked with inflammation, which is scientifically associated with certain eye health issues.

Reduced homocysteine levels have further been found to increase the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Another B vitamin called riboflavin has been found particularly beneficial for eye health. All of these nutrients may be obtained from foods, but there are also supplements available.

One is Divine Bounty Vitamin B Complex, which gains increasing popularity in the global market today. This formula is equipped with all the B vitamins studies have found to be helpful for eye health.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
