New Research Reveals the Foods Found to Preserve Aging Memory

According to researchers, choosing the right food may aid in brain health. This is according to a 20-year study of men with a diet rich in leafy greens, orange and red vegetables, berries and orange juice.

She is a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

It was the U.S. National Institutes of Health that partly funded the research. It involved the collection of data on almost 28,000 male health professionals, average age 51.

Brain health authorities have long been warning that changes in memory are considered to be early signs of mild cognitive impairment.

This interesting research was published online Nov. 21 in Neurology.

The investigators reveal that curcumin treatment led to significant improvements in the memory and attention abilities of the subjects.

“These results suggest that taking this relatively safe form of curcumin could provide meaningful cognitive benefits over the years,” adds Small, who is UCLA’s Parlow–Solomon Professor on Aging.
