Naftogaz

Naftogaz Ukrainy is a state-owned company in Ukraine producing, transporting and refining oil [2] and natural gas. Full name – National Joint Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Naftogaz Ukrainy is a vertically integrated oil and gas company that performs a full cycle of field exploration, production and exploration drilling, transportation and storage of oil and gas, transportation of natural and liquefied gas to consumers.

The composition of Naftogaz Ukrainy includes three subsidiaries (DC), five subsidiaries (DP), two-state joint-stock companies (GAO) and two open joint-stock companies (OJSC). The company operates in 4 main areas:

Today, SOCAR Gas Group provides natural gas to more than 715 thousand subscribers nationwide. A total of 45 consumer service centres and a modern telephone service centre, 16 114, operate throughout Georgia.

SOCAR Gas Group is one of the largest employers in Georgia, with 2200 employees.

Lukoil

PJSC Lukoil is a Russian oil company. The name of the company comes from the first letters of the names of the cities of oil industry workers (Langepas, Uray, Kogalym) and the word oil from the English.

It is the second company after Gazprom in terms of revenue in Russia. Until 2007, it was the largest oil company in Russia in terms of production (Rosneft was ahead of it after the purchase of Yukos assets). By the size of proved hydrocarbon reserves, Lukoil, according to its own data, as of January 1, 2011, was the third private oil company in the world (the first by oil reserves).

The Lukoil trademark is one of two Russian brands (along with Baltika) that were included in the list of 100 largest world brands, compiled in April 2007 by the British newspaper Financial Times. However, according to the results of a similar rating drawn up in April 2009, Lukoil was no longer in the top 100 brands.

The headquarters of Lukoil is located in Moscow, on Sretensky Bulvar.

On September 28, 2018, Lukoil led the rating of the largest private companies in Russia, according to Forbes (Russia).

Gazprom

PJSC Gazprom is a Russian multinational energy company, over 50% of the shares of which are owned by the state. It is a holding company of the Gazprom Group. PJSC Gazprom directly sells only natural gas and leases its gas transportation system. Gazprom owns a significant portion of the shares in the Gazprom Space Systems telecommunications services subsidiary.

Gazprom’s share in world gas reserves is 17%, in Russia – 72%. Gazprom accounts for 12% of global and 68% of Russian gas production. It occupies the seventeenth place in the list of the largest energy companies, according to S&P Global Platts.

The company owns the world’s largest gas transmission system.

Gazprom is the largest producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Russia. The company is developing the current Sakhalin-2 project and is also implementing new projects in this area.

In the domestic market, Gazprom sells more than half of the gas sold. In addition, the company supplies gas to more than 30 countries near and far abroad. Until the end of 2013, Gazprom had a monopoly on the export of any gas from Russia. After December 2013, it retained a monopoly on the export of pipeline gas.

The company is one of the four largest Russian oil producers. The total installed capacity of Gazprom’s electricity generating assets in Russia is about 16% of the total installed capacity of the Russian energy system. Gazprom ranks first in the world in the production of thermal energy.
