It’s especially during difficult times, that health and wellness should be on the top of all our minds, according to Helen Lee Schifter. There’s much that’s been said and hopefully learnt in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Of course, there has been much said about the tool this crisis has and will continue to have on businesses. In particular, those in the events planning business or any related industries, have suffered tremendously. Then there are other businesses that are oriented around the events’ space that have suffered tremendously, like Guest of a Guest.

Then there are media publications and other businesses and industries tangentially related to the events and luxury spaces that have also had to deal with adapting to the ever changing circumstances of this situation. But health and wellness of course does not need to only include going outside, and going to parties and being sure to be active. One can be confident that they are leading a life of health and wellness if they are leading lives that are sure to include health and wellness at the forefront of their minds. 

A healthy life should include regular routines that have utility for health and wellness, and enhancing it. For instance, taking things slower and practicing stoicism can be very rewarding and beneficial to people who are accustomed to working in bustling corporate atmospheres and environments. 

Of course, meditation is an incredibly helpful and useful practice for people to exercise. It can prove not only cathartic, but also help clear one’s thought processes. This is important for a myriad of reasons, not the least of which is the ability to reflect on one’s priorities and carefully but methodically consider whether those priorities are in proper order or not. 

In addition to that, another important benefit to meditation is the ability to obtain a sort of peace of mind and solace that so many of us strive for every-day, whether while realizing it or not. There’s surely no substitute for this; and the effects it can have on one’s day-to-day routine; the ability to think in a clear-minded way, are undoubtedly ample and substantive. 

Health and wellness is something that needs to be prized and taken more seriously than it currently is. Our physical health is directly correlated to our mental and emotional health. Without emotional and mental health, the level of deterioration that we’ll inevitably experience to our physical health can truly prove to be detrimental. If for only this reason, we should all take our collective emotional and mental health far more seriously.
