Roaster Central Reopens at Espressotec in Vancouver

Coffee-lovers of all types are invited to visit the showroom on Clark Drive during new showroom hours — Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm — for flights of coffee samples selected from the 40 featured varieties available. While these craft-roasted coffees have been available for purchase in-store and online throughout the pandemic, with free delivery for orders over $39, staff and patrons alike are delighted to resume coffee tasting services by donation. 

Roaster Central, Vancouver’s FIRST coffee-tasting centre, was opened in 2018 as a showcase of talented coffee roasters from across Canada and the US. It offers customers the opportunity to brew up tasting flights of any three coffees to compare and enjoy, a unique experience that encourages customers to try new roast levels, origins, flavour profiles, and brands. It also offers the chance to learn more about coffee brewing and how various associated factors can be adjusted for different flavour profiles. 

Maintaining its ongoing dedication to the safety of its customers and staff above all, Espressotec is following all the latest health recommendations for coffee-tasting service. All those in the spacious showroom are required to maintain the 2-metre distance, surfaces are sanitized frequently, coffee is served in single-use cups which are then disposed of safely, and sanitizer is abundantly available for staff and customer use. Additionally, the brewing area of Roaster Central is marked off to ensure adequate distance during coffee preparation, attending staff wear masks and gloves at all times, and tasting cards used for flights are quarantined immediately after use.
