(Newswire.net — July 10, 2020) — Here, a successful entrepreneur Keith Orie, shares what happiness is, how it can impact your business, and what questions to ask in order to find out if your business is happy or unhappy.

Happiness Motivates Employees:

When your employees are happy and working in a happy environment, they will be more motivated and successful. They will feel like they are part of the greater good and working for a company that truly sees them, hears them, and cares about them. When employees feel heard and cared about, they are more likely to work hard because they will see the company’s success as their success.

Good Attitudes:

When your whole team is happy it will create an overall positive environment. The positivity will translate into employees’ work because they will feel like they can accomplish anything. They will be more likely to take risks and try new things because they know if they fail, they will be supported rather than shamed and punished.

Less Stress, More Productivity:

When employees aren’t wasting energy on being stressed out, they will have more energy to be productive. Many employers make the mistake of believing that the fear of being ridiculed is a stronger motivator than a relaxed employee’s productivity level.

Support:

The happier your work environment is, the more likely the whole team is to work together and support one another. When the team is happy, they will want all of their co-workers to succeed and will have no problem lending a helping hand to make that happen.

No Gossip:

Let’s face it, a lot of time spent at work is wasted gossiping and talking about things that employees are not happy with. When this is eliminated and everyone is working together in a positive environment, employees won’t have to waste time airing their grievances or gossiping about other co-workers. Instead, the employees will feel like they are part of a family and would never think about talking badly about their teammates.

Creativity Boost:

When employees are working in a happy environment, you will see a boost in not only their productivity but their creativity as well.

Team Building:

People like to be around other happy people. When your team is happy, team-building will improve and increase. This will improve communication at work and with customers.

Patience:

Happy people are more patient and less irritable. This is very important for your business, especially if it’s customer service-related. Happy employees will spend a few extra minutes on the phone with a customer to make sure their needs are met. They will also be more patient dealing with an angry customer and walking them patiently towards a solution. Your happy employees will also have more patience with one another.

Improved Health:

When employees are working in a happy workplace, you will see less sickness and callouts. When employees are less stressed, they will be less susceptible to getting sick, and they also won’t feel like they need to use mental health days as frequently, or even fake calling in sick because they simply can’t deal with the workplace another day.

Less Turnover:

When your team is working in a happy environment, thriving in business, and developing great work relationships, they won’t want to leave. They won’t be tempted to see what else is out there because they will feel like they are thriving in their current environment. They will have strong relationships with their co-workers that they won’t want to leave in addition to a positive environment, freedom for creativity, and management that listens and inspires them.

A happy workplace is so important in order to see the best of your employees. Happy employees work harder, are more productive, and work together with a common goal in mind.
