  • There are a limited number of attempts that are restricted to 4 attempts for unreserved candidates.

Exam Structure

The State Bank of India PO exam test’s candidates on the basis of these three phases:

  • The first exam is the Prelims Exam
  • The second stage is Mains Exam 
  •  Last and final stage is the Interview/Group Discussion. 

Candidates have to secure above the cut-off marks to secure their position in the merit list. The prelims and the mains exam will be  held in online mode with each section carrying 100 and 200 marks respectively. 

The preliminary exam is objective in nature while the mains examination is both objective and descriptive in nature. In mains examination candidates have to attempt a test of the English language, where they are supposed to write an essay & letter. For passing the Descriptive Test, candidates have to mandatorily acquire the qualifying marks, which is to be decided by the exam conducting authority.

  • General/ Economy / Banking Awareness
  • English Language
  • Computer Aptitude.
