(Newswire.net — August 24, 2020) Orlando, FL — Skin health issues like eczema affect many people today. This pertains to a chronic itchy disease that usually starts developing during childhood.

In a new study, it has been found that this condition may affect more than the skin. Researchers particularly reveal that adults with eczema may be at an increased risk of heart disease and stroke.

According to lead researcher Dr. Jonathan Silverberg, eczema is not just skin deep.

Dr. Silverberg is an assistant professor of dermatology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago.

“It impacts all aspects of patients’ lives and may worsen their heart-health,” he said.

Scientists found that individuals with this condition who smoke and drink are more likely to be obese. They also tend to exercise less than adults without the skin condition.

The study findings reveal that the complications of eczema may be possibly due to the effects of chronic inflammation.

“It was intriguing that eczema was associated with these disorders even after controlling for smoking, alcohol consumption and physical activity,” Silverberg added.

Researchers also stress that no association has been found between this skin condition and other health issues. One of the things about this skin condition is that it makes working out difficult.

This is due to the fact that heat and sweat worsen itching.

The study was published in a recent issue of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

It is worth realizing that eczema is a widely-studied skin condition. There are scientists looking into the all-natural remedies potentially beneficial for eczema, and one is turmeric.

Turmeric is an ancient, medicinal spice found to offer a myriad of health benefits. It has long been found to offer a range of therapeutic benefits due to the curcumin it possesses.

Curcumin is a phytochemical that possesses a wide array of therapeutic agents. These are its adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anticoagulant, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, immunomodulating, and anticatabolic agents.

A study was published in the June 2010 issue of “Journals of Drugs in Dermatology.

In this research, turmeric has been found useful for skin care and this is due to its antioxidant qualities. It is believed that its therapeutic effects are mainly due to the curcumin it contains.

In multiple research studies, curcumin has been able to demonstrate its ability to help in wound healing, reducing inflammation, and enhancing skin circulation.

Phyllis Balch, nutritionist and author of “Prescription for Nutritional Wellness”, even recommends turmeric in reducing inflammatory conditions, such as eczema, and this is due to its inflammation-fighting properties.

To experience its healing effects, it is wise to consider the use of formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin (http://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
