(Newswire.net — August 28, 2020) Las Vegas, NV — In the United States, it has been found heart attacks and strokes are the top causes of disability and death. These medical emergencies may be caused by blood clot formation, which is one bodily occurrence that health experts warn consumers against.

Health authorities strongly recommend preventing blood clots from producing a life-threatening situation. This can be done by simply preventing their unnecessary formation, and getting rid of those that have already formed.

Research found that the traditional Japanese food called Natto can help. It contains the nattokinase enzyme that decreases blood clot formation. It has further been found to dissolve clots that have already formed.

Another helpful food is apple, which has a therapeutic compound called rutin, also known as quercetin-3-rutinoside.

Popular anti-clotting drugs often either target blood clots in the arteries or the veins. Rutin has been found to work magically in targeting both.

A study was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation. In this research, it has been found rutin retained its anti-thrombotic activities even after being swallowed in pill form.

Pineapples are also recommended as they have a protein-digesting enzyme called bromelain. Such therapeutic enzyme inhibits the formation of pro-inflammatory molecules. It is worth mentioning bromelain also possesses anti-clotting and fibrin-dissolving properties.

When it comes to blood clot prevention, some natural remedies like curcumin have been found beneficial.

According to experts, blood clots form due to the process called platelet aggregation. This pertains to the clumping together of blood to form a clot.

Such an occurrence has been found to trigger the onset of certain serious health issues. This particularly includes deep vein thrombosis, stroke, and pulmonary embolism.

Research has found that curcumin has an ability to modify eicosanoid biosynthesis, which is a natural process that’s directly involved in inflammation.

Scientists from the Odense University’s Department of Environmental Medicine in Denmark carried out a study.

In this research, it has been found that curcumin has a remarkable effect on the synthesis of thromboxanes, which are a type of eicosanoid that play a key role in clot formation.

Some in vitro studies and animal models have also demonstrated it was able to inhibit platelet aggregation successfully. This has been found to reduce blood clot risk and the health effects it could potentially produce.

Curcumin possesses genoprotective, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anticoagulant, antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-purulent, immunomodulating, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, and anticatabolic agents, all of which could help the body stay healthy.
