( — September 9, 2020) — As an update, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has decided to shift the exam date of Review Officer [RO] and Assistant Review Officer [ARO] prelims recruitment from September 13th 2020 to September 20th 2020.

  • There are two sections General Studies for Paper 1 and General Hindi for Paper 2. Both papers will have only objective-type questions. 
  • Paper 1 has 140 questions of 1 mark each. Total marks 140. Total Time 120 minutes
  • Paper 2 contains 60 questions of 1 mark each. Total marks 60. Total time 60 minutes.
  • Negative marking of -0.33 marks applies for every incorrect answer.

Thus, it is advised that you focus on fundamentals such as भाषा, वर्ण-विचार, संज्ञा, पर्यायवाची शब्द [Synonyms], विलोम शब्द [Antonyms] अनेकार्थी शब्द, एकार्थक शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के एक शब्द [One Word Substitution]. Have an aim marking at least 25-30 questions with 100% accuracy.
  • Time Management: You have 60 minutes to solve 60 questions making it one question per minute. While you save on vocabulary related questions, follow the thumb rule of skipping to the next question when you cross the 60-second limit.
