Although you may crave sugar and junk food, these foods not only help relieve depression, but make it worse. Buy and eat organic foods if possible. It is not known how chemical behavior and genetically modified foods affect us, so it is best to avoid them.
-
Know that you are not insane.
Depression is a warning sign that something is bad. It is a sign that nothing is balanced in your body, environment or both. We live in an environment that is full of toxic environments. There are wars, uneven laws, financial pressures and a heavy media burden. The list is not exhaustive.
We are natural beings living in an unnatural world. This is madness. Our bodies, our minds and our souls are reacting to this madness. Know you’re not crazy. You are reacting to your madness.
-
Count your blessings.
Being grateful is not the first thought that comes to your mind when you are depressed, sad and perhaps angry. However, this is the best time to count your blessings. This is a great time to remember that there are people who will be happy to trade with you. We have many things to be thankful for. However, we often value them. With a grateful attitude, depression cannot develop.

Listen to motivational tapes. Don’t leave your own mind alone to do your “thing”. Obviously, your self-talk is not doing you any good at the moment. So, this is the best time to listen to someone else. Listen to inspiring and inspiring tapes and music. Bombard your brain with the superior ideas of others. Dress up.
Wear your nice clothes. Do what you can to make yourself attractive and compelling.
-
Turn the TV off.
Take a break from media overload. Shut off the TV and don’t read the newspapers. What you listen to on TV and read in the papers is not good news. This is not the time to read and listen to tragic stories and there is nothing you can do about contemplating catastrophic events.
-
Fake it till you make it.
Sometimes you need to work from the outside. Act as if you are not depressed. What would you do if you weren’t depressed? If the publisher’s clearing house just came to your door with a check for 5 million, would you tell them because you are so depressed? Make it fake until you make it. Your brain does not know the difference between what is actual and what is imagined. Imagine that you are not depressed.
-
Dance.
The body needs to move. This blood flows to your body and mind. Your brain needs a good supply of blood to function properly. But when you are feeling depressed, the idea of exercising does not appeal.

Remember who you are.
You are a precious being in this great universe. There is no truth in the greatest of us that is not true of you. You are wonderful Sometimes we forget how wonderful we are with you.

Only and only trust and rely on His wisdom.
