(Newswire.net — November 18, 2020) Orlando, FL — Experts have long been warning against the high prevalence of cardiovascular ailments, which include heart failure. It is worth realizing that this condition doesn’t just affect older individuals, but also the younger ones.

A study was published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

In this new Northwestern Medicine study, it has been found there is an increasing rate in the deaths caused by heart failure.

It is important to note that such an increase is most noticeable among younger adults under the age of 65. Further, premature death rates from heart failure have further been found to be at the highest among black males under the age of 65.

Dr. Sadiya Khan says that the success of the last three decades in improving heart failure death rates is now being reversed, and it is likely due to the obesity and diabetes epidemics.

Dr. Khan is an assistant professor of medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a Northwestern Medicine cardiologist.

“We focused on patients with heart failure because they have the highest mortality related to cardiovascular death. They have a prognosis similar to metastatic lung cancer,” Dr. Khan said.

In the United States, there is an estimated number of 6 million adults with heart failure. This condition is the top reason older adults are confined in a hospital.

“Given the aging population and the obesity and diabetes epidemics, which are major risk factors for heart failure, it is likely that this trend will continue to worsen,” she added.

It is worth mentioning this study used data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Wide-Ranging Online Data for Epidemiologic Research data.

Scientists have long been carrying out studies to learn more about how heart failure can be avoided. It is important to realize that there are spices like turmeric scientifically found helpful in battling heart failure.

This spice has long been reputed to work wonders in protecting and enhancing heart health.

According to scientists from the University of Nebraska in the United States, a decrease in the normal signaling of a protein Nrf2 may play a role in the impaired expression of antioxidant enzymes.

The antioxidants found in curcumin may aid in preventing and repairing damage from oxidative stress.

In a study, which was published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, it has been found that there were improvements in the expression of Nrf2 increased and levels of antioxidant enzymes in the animal subjects with heart failure treated with curcumin.

While more research studies are still being carried out to explore more of curcumin’s potentials to fight heart failure, it is undeniable that its use is widespread.

Today, formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin has been found to aid in delivering the phytochemical’s healing effects (www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
