What Apple Didn’t Tell You About iPhone 12

(Newswire.net— October 18, 2020) —  The new recently released iPhone 12 is already one of the most sought after smartphones in the world. Apple, however, kept silent to and chose not to reveal some things about this model to their end users, USA Today reports.

The design of the new iPhone 12 is a mixture of iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5 phones, which is a good direction for Apple, according to most users.

Until November 23, all four variations of the available iPhone 12 models (iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and the iPhone Pro Max) will be on sale around the world, but all four will come with a few things, which Apple deliberately failed to mention at the iPhone 12 premiere.

None of the new devices will have a screen refresh rate higher than the standard – 60 Hz. This means that no new model, not even the most expensive one, the iPhone 12 Pro Max, will have a screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz or at least 90 Hz, which has become an absolute “must-have”, even among middle-class smartphones offered by Samsung and Huawei. While all screens this time around will be OLED Retina of some sort, users will have to wait until the iPhone 13 model for more fluid scrolling and similar options.

The new iPhone 12 phones also feature Apple’s MagSafe technology, which allows phones to be charged more reliably and wirelessly at 15 watts. However, Apple failed to specify that the increase in wireless charging speed, which is far behind the speed of the competition, applies only to Apple wireless chargers, which are sold separately. The only company that is currently certified for MagSafe accessories is Belkin, but we do not believe that these charges will be significantly cheaper than the previous expensive Apple accessories.

The iPhone 12 sounds affordable at $799. But if you decide to spring for extra storage and Apple Care, as many do, that will bring it to $1,298, before tax. Then add the new MagSafe wireless charger and new case, and you’re looking at $1,398. This could be a bargain compared to the $1,768 for the top-of-the-line maxed-out iPhone 12 Pro Max, which starts at $1,099, before the extra storage, warranty and accessories, USA Today warns.

What Apple has not yet disclosed is also the amount of RAM memory of each of the phone models, and the capacity and battery autonomy of each new iPhone 12 phone.
