( — December 28, 2020) Orlando, FL — Various research studies have looked into the culprits of migraine. In an interesting study, it has been found that certain experiences do influence the odds of migraine attacks.

One study was published in the Neurology, which is the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.

In this research, it has been revealed that survivors of a terror attack have an increased risk of frequent migraine and tension headaches after the attack.

It is worth mentioning that this study involved teenage survivors of the largest mass killing in Norway in 2011. The lone gunman killed 69 individuals and severely wounded 33 more people. It is also worth mentioning that every survivor experienced terror, and a number of them lost friends.

The researchers further add that some risked drowning as they tried to escape the island.

According to study author Synne Øien Stensland, MD, PhD, they know a lot about the psychological effects of terror attacks and other extreme violence on survivors, but we don’t know much about the physical effects of these violent incidents.

Stensland is of the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies in Oslo.

Chronic migraine has been found to affect roughly 2 percent of global population. In the United Kingdom, there are more than 190,000 migraine attacks every day.

It is further worth realizing that this condition affects three-times as many women as men. On a global scale, it has even been found to affect 1 in 7 individuals. For each million of the general population, there are approximately 3,000 migraine attacks every day.

The prevalence of this condition has led the scientific community to carry out studies in learning its various aspects. These include the potential remedies that may aid avoid triggers and manage the condition better.

An evidence-based natural remedy called curcumin may be useful. This phytochemical, which is found in turmeric, has various medicinal agents.

These include its adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It further has strong anti-inflammatory properties that are found particularly useful in battling inflammation. This is due to the fact that inflammation is thought to underlie some types of migraines.

Curcumin is also used for other inflammation-related conditions like arthritis. There are those who even opt for its use over nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).

Aside from its migraine-fighting benefits, curcumin may also be helpful in addressing many diseases. Today, it is widely resorted to via the use of certain supplements like VitaBreeze Curcumin (
