Sports equipment company Physix Gear has released two new products for leg pain relief, calf compression sleeves and full length compression socks. Full length compression socks help combat swollen feet.
Sports equipment company Physix Gear has released two new products, calf compression sleeves, and full-length compression socks. The products serve as effective solutions for relief from pain and swelling in the legs by keeping muscles warm prior to activities, increasing blood flow during and after activities, and preventing injuries.
More information on the new products can be found here: https://www.physixgear.com/blogs/sport-and-wellness/the-difference-between-calf-compression-sleeves-and-full-length-compression-socks
The newly launched products work by increasing blood flow, which increases the amount of oxygen and nutrients that are able to then reach the muscles during activity. The design of both products uses the feature of gradual compression – the sleeve or sock is tighter at the bottom than at the top, which puts greater pressure on the leg at the ankle for sleeves or the foot for socks, lessening on the way up to the thigh.
This pressure helps in the movement of the blood up the leg and through the veins, preventing pooling and allowing the blood to return back to the heart more efficiently.
Made of light-weight materials such as nylon, lycra, and spandex, both products are stretchy with the material breathable. Both products come in several designs with colors to match uniforms or sports gear. The right fit to ensure the most benefits will be snug, but not uncomfortable.
The differences in the products mainly come down to user preference.
Calf compression sleeves cover the lower leg, just below the knee down to the ankle. They come in several sizes based on circumference (which should be measured at the largest part of the calf) as well as length. One strength is that they are more versatile since they can be worn with regular socks and shoes. Compression sleeves also wick away sweat and moisture for the best results. The full-length compression socks cover the entire lower leg from knee to toe and act dually as socks. This means the user does not need to wear any socks on top of them. Users that suffer from swollen feet, travel often, or sit for long periods of time, which heightens the risk of blood pooling in the leg veins, may benefit more from wearing full-length compression socks that will provide compression to feet. Since calf compression sleeves are open beyond the ankle, they cannot support your feet.
