(Newswire.net — March 3, 2021) Orlando, FL — Today, more and more scientists are looking into the various aspects of kidney health. Some studies have even investigated on the potentials of the organ to heal itself.

A study was carried out by the researchers from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.

In this study, the investigators tried to see if damaged kidneys can be regrown. They found that blocked kidneys in newborns have an impressive ability to repair themselves after the removal of obstruction.

Statistics show that in the United States, 1 in 3 American adults is at a heightened risk for CKD. It is also worth mentioning that this serious condition doesn’t just affect adults, but also the younger population.

It has been found that in the U.S. in 2016, more than 5,700 children lived with end-stage kidney disease. Doctors have long warned that these sufferers are more susceptible to premature death than healthy children by 30 times.

The growing prevalence of conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and obesity in children has also been found to likely increase the rates of CKD.

According to researcher Maria Luisa S. Sequeira-Lopez, MD, of UVA’s Child Health Research Center, the findings likely speak to the importance of speedy surgical intervention after the birth of human babies as well.

It is worth mentioning that when the kidney is obstructed, its vasculature shrinks. However, other unobstructed kidney can grow many more branches to compensate. Releasing the obstruction can help regenerate the whole kidney.

This is actually just one of the studies nowadays that are looking into the ways to aid in enhancing and protecting kidney health.

Some researchers recommend intake of probiotics for kidney health. According to some studies, probiotics work in benefiting the kidneys through multiplying and metabolizing larger quantities of uremic toxins.

This initiates increased diffusion of these toxins from the circulating blood into the bowel across the lining of the intestinal walls. These microbes are then excreted in the feces.

It is worth noting that aside from their kidney health benefits, probiotics have also been found to work wonders in delivering a range of therapeutic benefits.

Today, they are widely consumed via supplementation like the use of Divine Bounty Digestive Enzymes.
